Construction and renovation around Merchtem
In October 2026 we looked at the websites of 94 construction and renovation companies around Merchtem, from window makers and kitchen shops to roofers and contractors. Most sites look good, but behind the scenes something often goes wrong.
Enquiries can end up in spam
At 37 of the 64 companies with a contact form, the settings that let mail servers recognise genuine mail from their domain are missing.
Someone can send email in your name
At 9 in 10 companies, a fraudster can send email that appears to come from their domain, such as a fake invoice.
Mandatory notices are missing
On 1 in 3 sites we found no company number, and on 4 in 10 no privacy statement.
Cookies without consent
On 1 in 5 sites, tracking or advertising code runs without the visitor being able to give consent.
Nobody knows how many visitors come
Almost half measure nothing. At 12 companies an old Google code has not recorded anything for three years.

Spam protection without reCAPTCHA, a privacy line on your forms, company number and legal notices, secure server settings, and email settings (SPF and DMARC) with three months of follow-up. We test every form afterwards.

The same, for a site not built in WordPress, including a check of how each form sends its mail.
Cookie banner
A banner that really asks for consent, tracking code that only loads after consent, and an updated cookie policy.

Caching, lighter images and fonts on your own server, with a measurement before and after.

Google Analytics 4 and Search Console set up correctly.

Only for those covered by the accessibility law, after an initial review.
Anything outside a package is charged at our hourly rate. The quotation always states what is not included.
Maintenance Flex and Maintenance Plus
For those who want their site to stay in order. Your site can stay with your current host, or you move it to us. Invoiced yearly in advance, excluding VAT.

Without hosting: your site stays with your current host. We get access to your WordPress or your server.
